artist Amy Shapiro Amy Shapiro was born and raised outside of Washington, DC; she received her BA from the University of Delaware in Newark. Not long after graduating Amy moved out west to Tucson and signed up for graduated school. In 2006 she received her MFA from the University of Arizona. Amy remains in Tucson where she continues painting, exhibiting, and teaching among many other activities.
