うつくしきもの / Those That are Beautiful
This mixed-media work combines wood with galvanized metal. The artist is committed to the use of natural elements in his art. The accompanying ceramic-glazed shapes—circles, squares and triangles in various colors—magnetically attach to the blackened plane. The viewer may configure these elements however they please. This serene work is evocative of a nocturnal atmosphere, reflecting the artist's love of nature as well as his candidness and warmth.
