Rescue Mission No.2
"Should have gotten someone to hold the ladder," says the artist about this painting in which a large bird flies off with a man while a cat perched on a tree watches. Oddly enough, two men shoot at another bird in a tree by an abstracted structure in the distance.
William Schaeuble finds mundane scenes and turns them into something odd enough to amuse. Schaeuble approaches painting through the lens of a self-documentarian who observes and records his moments—as he sees them—so they can be relived tomorrow.
