Like many of Fullana’s works, the woman in this painting serves as an alter-ego for the artist. Fullana’s compositions allow her to give free rein to an assortment of liberated girls, hooligans, hedonist epicureans and militant cyborgs.

Bel Fullana was born in Mallorca, Spain in 1985.

Solo exhibitions of Fullana’s work have taken place at: Casal Solleric, a museum in an historic mansion in Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Galeria Fran Reus in Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Allouche Benias Gallery in Athens, Greece; Freight+Volume in New York City; and Espacio Dörffi in Lanzarote, Canary Islands.

Group exhibitions that have shown Fullana’s work have taken place at: Es Baluard Contemporary Art Museum in Mallorca, Spain (2021); Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa in Ibiza, Spain (2020); Centre de Cultura Sa Nostra in Palma de Mallorca, Spain (2017); Espacio de Arte Joven de Madrid in Spain (2016); and the CCVF Centro Cultural Vila Flor in Guimaraes, Portugal (2016).
