Maull’s abstract language reveals a practice that tunes the viewer into his passion for nature. Like Monet’s Chrysanthemums, which also fill up the canvas, Maull captures the sense of connection artists have to a vigorous creative process and the vastness of the natural world.

John Maull, who began making art at the Tierra del Sol Foundation Studios in 2005, is known for making vivid landscapes, with a practice that acts as an extension of his relationship with his family and faith. In his youth, Maull would spend hours working with his mother in their hillside garden. Those closest to Maull believe these memories are the primary inspiration for this prolific body of work.
