① Artwork:

Dining Room Party

In this painting, the artist has depicted a post-party dinner table that playfully references the long history of eating parties in art, from Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper to Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s Luncheon of the Boating Party. But rather than illustrate the attendees in this work, the artist chose to explore the comfort of this space through merrily painted playing cards, half-eaten bowls of ice cream, a lounging cat and other appealing details.

More recently, she has added the influence of outdoor views to her intimate rooms as she continues exploring ideas surrounding the value of personal space, an interest in location and the idiosyncrasies of place.
