Sunday Morning with You

This monotype print is a unique work, made by the artist painting on a flat surface that was then transferred to paper through a press. This transfer process yields a certain aqueous fluidity that cannot be realized by painting alone. This composition coincides with a series of figurative works, which taken together illustrate the artist’s shifting sensibilities of passion, love and permanence.

The artist frequently employs autobiographical details in works that can evoke an unexpected tenderness. Tracey Emin has described her practice as being about “rites of passage, of time and age and the simple realization that we are always alone.”
