Corey Lamb’s holistic approach to painting combines contemporary aesthetics with motifs and tropes drawn from art history. The artist constructs narratives around existential concepts, using eroticism, humor and intimacy to create points of entry for the viewer. Lamb’s work transposes the transgressive over the familiar to underline and reengage with the shared experiences that unite people across identities and idiosyncrasies.

Corey Lamb was born in Texas in 1983. The artist received an MFA in Painting from Indiana University at Bloomington in 2016.

Lamb’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at: Hashimoto Contemporary in New York City, San Francisco, California and Los Angeles, California; and at Galerie Wolfson in Aalborg, Denmark.
