Lee Hunter is a visual artist focused on our relationship to nature and how we think about nature. For the last eight years, Hunter has worked on a world-building project called Cosmogenesis, which takes the form of a photo, sculpture, video, found object, textile, work-on-paper, and text archive. The narrative of these records comes approximately 200 years in the future and follows a group of people who have learned to travel to parallel dimensions through their cultural ephemera. The final form of this durational project will be an encyclopedic coffee table book documenting the artist’s research, writing, exhibitions, and programming.
