Rosa Loy

Rosa Loy’s artwork depicts rich, fairytale-esque worlds populated almost exclusively by female subjects in multiples or pairs. A student of horticulture, the artist draws inspiration from her memories as well as her surroundings; she creates sketches for each of her compositions, and never works from photographs. Along with frequent collaborator Neo Rauch, Loy was associated with the loose artistic movement known as the New Leipzig School.
