Tania Alvarez explores themes of impermanence, voyeurism, and home through her paintings of quotidian views. These works are about the evolution of memories—specifically how memories change over time—tracked through mirrored images, patterns, and repeated images of the places or experiences that shaped her identity. Alvarez creates psychological effects relating to temporality, change, or disembodiment through distorted scale and perspective.
