Amy Wright is an Australian contemporary landscape artist whose work, rooted in figuration, explores the vitality of nature and captures wild and untamed landscapes through an abstracted lens. With a diverse career in textile design, fine art, and floristry, Wright's artworks are narratives rich in pattern, texture, and colour. Based in Regional Victoria, she creates from her garden studio, fully immersed in the landscapes that inspire her. Wright's work is highly sought after both in Australia and Internationally, with collectors and Gallery Representation worldwide.

Known for her bold and unapologetically wild depictions of nature, Wright finds inspiration in untamed, often overlooked landscapes- places where nature flourishes unchecked, reclaiming space from human intervention. Each canvas serves as a Wunderkammer, blending reality with imagination; wild plants sprawl, landscapes soar with tiered forms, and horizon lines often fade into obscurity. Working primarily from memory, she intricately weaves detailed textures and patterns together using a painting technique akin to collage, constructing compositions from cropped fragments to explore the interplay of hidden and revealed elements within her work.

Based in Regional Victoria, Australia, Amy Wright holds a BA in Textile Design from RMIT and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the Victorian College of the Arts. Since 2016, she has presented solo exhibitions across Australia and participated in group exhibitions nationally and internationally, including with Tappan (Los Angeles), Circle Contemporary (UK), and Amélie du Chalard (New York). Her work has been exhibited at the London Art Fair since 2023, published in The Complete Asian Cookbook by Charmaine Solomon (Hardie Grant Books) and Columbia Journal, and recognised as a finalist in the John Leslie Art Prize, Little Things Art Prize, and Lethbridge 20,000 Salon des Refusés.
