About the artist:

Justin Cole’s art engages the human condition, states of consciousness, and mortality through a synthesis of figurative realism and Abstract Expressionism. Restraint and intentionality anchor his practice, with each painting typically centered on a single subject that keeps the narrative focused and contained. While his work avoids overt distraction, sustained looking reveals subtle shifts and quiet complexities beneath the surface.

Justin Cole was born in 1995 and lives in Brooklyn, NY. He received his BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, where he studied Illustration.

Cole has had solo exhibitions with Sébastien Bertrand in Geneva; and Lyles & King in NY. He has participated in recent group exhibitions at Blumka Contemporary in New York, NY; Shoreditch Modern in London, UK; Monti8 in Rome; Alica Amati in London and IRL Gallery in New York, NY.
