A weathered stone printed with fragments of early internet history, blending raw geology with digital ephemera. This rock is completely unique by nature and design. This includes imperfections, rock size, shape, and weight. The rock was harvested from the earth and printed using a unique image transfer process before being hand distressed and coated with archival UV protection.

About the artist:

Kleinian’s work operates at the intersection of the digital age and deep time, aiming to recontextualize our relationship with technology and Artificial Intelligence. In a culture of accelerating obsolescence—where a breakthrough AI model is superseded in days and a “cutting-edge” device becomes outdated within months—the present moment is almost instantly buried. The artist counters this ephemerality through a form of speculative archaeology. By “calcifying” pixels into geological forms, digital objects are stripped of their function and granted a sense of permanence. The work invites reflection on what a future civilization might understand about our complex and anxious culture when sifting through the dirt and rubble of the Age of AI thousands of years from now.
