About the artist:

Oidie Kuijpers is a painter based in Brooklyn, New York. His work explores representation and approaches painting as a form of critical inquiry. Working primarily in a square format, he paints slowly from digital images of his own making. Attentive to different qualities of light, each painting develops through its own studied process of depiction.

Kuijpers work has been included in exhibitions at D.D.D.D., Greene Naftali, Pace Gallery, Pratt Institute, and Oberlin College. In 2025, he presented a solo booth at NADA New York. Kuijpers received his MFA from Pratt Institute in 2022 and currently lives and works in New York City.
