Robert Gunderman

Robert Gunderman's artistic practice is grounded in his native Southern California landscape and belief that everything is connected on a molecular level. Informed by his experience as both a farmer and painter, he focuses on exploring the micro- and macro-biomes of our universe. His oil paintings of landscapes, weather systems, flora, and fauna embrace duality, bifurcation, and paradox as a means to capture the infinity of relationships held within a moment in time.

Robert Gunderman was born in 1963 in Los Angeles, CA, and lives near Fillmore, CA. He attended the Otis Parsons School of Art in Los Angeles, California (1988-89).

He has mounted recent solo exhibitions at Wilding Cran Gallery in Los Angeles, CA (2023); Diane Rosenstein Gallery in Los Angeles, CA (2021); AF Projects in Los Angeles, CA (2019); the Desert Center in Los Angeles, CA (2019); and others.
