NASTARAN SHAHBAZI

NASTARAN SHAHBAZI
Nastaran Shahbazi is a Paris-based painter whose work explores the interplay of memory, movement, and place. Having lived between Tehran, Paris, and Hong Kong, she draws on these shifting geographies to create cinematic compositions where anonymous figures—often born from on-site sketches—surface like fragments of lived experience. Her scenes feel both intimate and expansive, inviting viewers to wander through multiple interpretive paths and form their own relationship with each work.
Read on to discover her brand-new series of four paintings, now available on Platform, in her own words.
