Gabriel Mills

Gabriel Mills’ paintings combine figuration and abstraction in their examination of time—and the relationship between recognition and presence. The artist employs a wide array of painting techniques to create his compositions. Mills’ work explores the complexities of experience and sensation.

BIO:

Gabriel Mills was born in New Rochelle, New York in 1992. The artist received an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from the Yale School of Art in New Haven, Connecticut in 2021. Mills received a BFA in Illustration and Art History from the University of Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut. 

Mills was recently an artist in residence at the Studios at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts. 

Mills lives and works in New Haven, Connecticut.
