Leave Britney Alone

This visually rich painting depicts a crowd on a beach and is loaded with symbolic references to art history, mythology, politics and the dynamics of power. The title is a reference to Britney Spears, while the scene calls to mind current social media culture—showing people as they jockey for position to see and photograph a magical sea creature. Love's unique style incorporates multiple techniques—hyperrealism, gestural brushstrokes and a signature flat, cartoonish line—to create cohesive and dynamic compositions.
