Details:

This painting, part of a series, depicts a kitten meticulously rendered in graphite with a fluorescent pink glow of acrylic paint surrounding it. The words "All my pretty follies"—part of a poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay written on the back of the canvas—are painted in the same pink across it in what looks almost like a computer font, creating a juxtaposition between the physical and digital. And in fact, the artist created a digital video work by the same name as a companion to the painting.

This artwork is currently on view in a special exhibition and will ship by September 8, 2023.
