Stephanie Rose Guerrero

Stephanie Rose Guerrero draws from memory and mythology to embellish the landscapes of the Americas across various geological timelines. The artist uses mica powder, oil, watercolor, and other mediums, painting and collaging them in layers over LCD screen diffusion paper. Guerrero explores her interest in how technology collides with the earth by using both high- and low-tech materials to illustrate her landscapes.

Stephanie Rose Guerrero was born in 1990 in Van Nuys, CA, and lives in Los Angeles, CA. She received her BFA from the California Institute of the Arts in Santa Clara, CA (2013).

She has mounted solo exhibitions at Smoke the Moon in Santa Fe, NM (2022); Monte Vista Projects in Los Angeles, CA (2019); and New Image Art in West Hollywood, CA (2018).

Guerrero has also shown her work in group exhibitions such as Garden II at Ladies’ Room in Los Angeles, CA (2022); Another Day in Paradise at Seasons LA in Los Angeles, CA (2022); and A Poem from Home at ::JACOB’S:: in Los Angeles, CA (2020) among others.
