Jiang's paintings employ absurdist logic and deadpan humor to give form to the artist's fleeting reveries and sensations. The artist's work draws on strategies from magical realism and her experience of growing up among multiple cultures and languages. By honing in on the banal, Jiang explores the gray intersections between the scientific, the psychological and the magical.
