This painting's arrangement of shapes and symbols is an exploration of the universal, contemplative and transcendental. This work is informed as much by inner reflection as external experience, hinting at a deeper approach to sensing our environment.
Vinna Begin's paintings and drawings explore the essence of forms and patterns seen in nature, celebrating both the mystical and natural worlds. Begin starts each work with a certain color or gesture rather than any concept or premeditated goal. The artist follows this initial gesture or color with another, continuing to respond to each act until a sense of balance is achieved. Begin's compositions are portraits of lucid experiences that draw viewers into a heightened experience. The artist's work is a deep study of the natural forces that shape and color of our world, striking chords of being that precede ego.
